If you turn on the news it seems that we are becoming ever more divided. Differing ideologies and opinions and vilifying our fellow citizens. However, our nation is hungry for more unity and connection. How can we accomplish that when we all seem so different?

Dr. Tim Shriver is no stranger to bringing different groups of people together for a cause. As the Chairman of the Special Olympics and founder of UNITE he has started another initiative, The Dignity Index. This organization seeks to show us all the power in our words and elevate the level of our discourse by calling out contempt and highlighting dignity in our speech. At the 2024 Kindness Summit Dr. Schriver shared just how we can use The Dignity Index to increase kindness, ease divisions, prevent violence, and solve problems.
