Curtis is a passionate, results-driven, transformational leader, with a proven track record of spearheading growth for local, national and international organizations across multiple industries. With over three decades of experience in business development, operations, team development and culture cultivation, Curtis has established himself as a visionary leader known for driving revenue growth, brand recognition and market expansion.
After graduating from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America, Curtis’s career began in the luxury retail industry as VP of Retail Operations for one of the country’s top luxury jewelry companies, O.C. Tanner. He took the company from losses to profitability quickly by analyzing operations and teams to implement change, provide staff training and transform client and community relationships. O.C.Tanner remains one of the leading jewelers in the United States today.
Curtis is driven by an underlying desire to “do good” as exemplified by his leadership roles within the non-profit sector and influenced by his life-long dedication to mission-based philanthropy. He brings his for-profit business approach to these organizations for unprecedented results. His understanding of corporate culture and team development within an organization and his ability to externally galvanize communities, top donors and business leaders externally, has impacted the long-term success of organizations like Cause for Hope, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Mentors International.
Curtis’s role as Executive Director of One Kind Act a Day, brings all of his business and leadership acumen together with his underlying passion for recognizing and nurturing the good in others. He begins this journey of changing lives and the world through the transformative lens of kindness with hard work and dedication to the mission ahead.
Curtis shares his life, love and the belief in servant leadership with his wife of 41 years, Sheri Bevell, their five children and 18 grandchildren.
