Engage

We hope to inspire you to commit to one Act of Kindness, every single day.

The spirit of generosity has a way of gaining momentum and spreading from one person to another. Call it a chain reaction of kindness.

Last weekend, we celebrated Día de los Muertos at Rancho Market, where we came together to honor and remember loved ones who have passed, with a theme close to our hearts: Remember with Kindness. It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, colorful traditions, and fun activities with the kids!

We’re thrilled to be working with Rancho Market on their journey to becoming a certified Business of Kindness! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration. Here’s to remembering with love and kindness!

Two great friends, one Muslim, Avais Ahmed and one Jewish, Rabbi Samuel Spector. We arranged for Avais to speak at the synagogue’s Sukkot Lunch and Learn. Sukkot is all about receiving people in - friends and strangers. A great presentation by these two dear friends exemplifying that even amidst truly challenging differences, kindness, compassion, and decency can be found. These two are a magnificent example of the goodness in the world.

Last week we had an incredible interfaith panel and were reminded of this powerful truth: “There is dignity in difference. Let’s see the holiness in one another.” Through our little acts of kindness, we can help others know that we see what’s beautiful and holy in them.

Special thanks to Boyd Matheson and our panel members: Bishop Phyliss Spiegel, Bishop Oscar Solis, Sandra Lucas, Rabbi Samuel Spector, Elder Derek Miller, and Dr. Salman Masud!
